Another year has passed and Mr. Ray Price is another year older, just like the rest of us. His birthday is January 12th, and Ray will be 84 this year. Last year I talked to Ray and simply said happy birthday and Semper Fi, a term known to U.S. Marines everywhere as ‘Always Faithful’.
The featured song of the day is “Red River Runaround” by Jamie Richards. The song embodies traditional country music and represents Texas music in the true form of country classics.

Texas Country Music Pioneer Big Bill Lister has been transfered to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, and is currently in ICU with possible pneumonia.

Jody Nix is a great musician from the state of Texas, and today we feature “Play Me Something I Can Swing To” as our featured CD, and Jody Nix is our featured artist. Even if his name isn’t a household name I’ll bet you a six pack of Lone Star beer that you know many of these songs. Jody Nix is well know to fans of real country music, and gets air time in North America on Willie’s Place, XM-13, and that’s where we discovered him.
