Trace Adkins’ tour bus was involved in an accident early Saturday morning around 9:30 am in north Louisiana. The bus was in route to a concert in Bossier City when a pickup truck crossed the center line into the tour bus. The driver and passenger in the pickup truck were killed upon impact. Adkins was not on the bus. Band members were taken to the hospital and will be fine but are pretty banged up. (photo courtesy of WTVF News Channel 5)
The 2nd Annual Canton Western Swing Festival and Valentine Party is February 11, 12 & 13, 2010. The event is held in the Canton Civic Center in First Monday Park, Downtown Canton, Texas.

Startex Records announced the arrival of Jake Hooker’s latest CD, “Lost Along The Way”. As with Jake’s past CDs, this new CD is 12 of the most traditional, honky-tonk, fiddle and steel songs and is probably Jake’s best to date.
Jody Nix is a great musician from the state of Texas, and today we feature “Play Me Something I Can Swing To” as our featured CD, and Jody Nix is our featured artist. Even if his name isn’t a household name I’ll bet you a six pack of Lone Star beer that you know many of these songs. Jody Nix is well know to fans of real country music, and gets air time in North America on Willie’s Place, XM-13, and that’s where we discovered him.
