“Under A Neon Halo” by Bill Green is a honky tonk song from Bill Green’s album “Dang These Texas Honky Tonks”. I had the video in the queue yesterday, and then I saw it on Facebook today. My facebook crowd is a good group of country music traditionalists, and we must be on the same sheet of music – no pun intended.
You’ve heard Jerry Webb’s songs on the radio and soon you will see him on TV. A country musician, singer, songwriter, and recording artist from Texas, it’s time to get to know Jerry Webb and learn more about his great music.
Earlier today we went to Australia for an article, and before that we were in Norway. Today we visit Red Jenkins, and we are stuck somewhere between Stockholm Sweden and Texas. Red Jenkins is called The Honky Tonk Man, and for good reason.
Today we are going through the music library again, and it’s time for a Becky Hobbs CD from 1988 titled “All Keyed Up”. Piano-pounding honky-tonker Becky Hobbs was an Oklahoma native and violinist’s daughter who began playing and making up tunes at age nine.
Thanks go out to friends of The Country Classics on Facebook for pointing us to Kenny Dale. Many of you remember Kenny Dale’s hit song “Bluest Heartache Of The Year”. The honky tonk hit in this video is “Red Hot Memory.” Many of his songs are written by Kenny and his wife, Judy.

The Mason Country Opry will be staged on Thursday, October 29, at the Odeon Theater in downtown Mason. Heart of Texas Recording Artists Curtis Potter will headline the monthly show. Tickets are $10.00 and will be for sale at the door.
