Ruby Wright, daughter of Kitty Wells & Johnny Wright passes away

Ruby Wright, the daughter of Kitty Wells and Johnny Wright, passed away last night at the age of 70.

Ruby toured with her parents road show for many years and was part of their television program as well.

Ruby recorded some great songs back in the 1960’s including “Dern Ya” which was an answer in sorts to “Dang Me” and “Billy Broke My Heart At Walgreens.” She and her sister Carol Sue also had a great version of “Thank God For A Mother Like Mine.”

She most recently was part of her mother’s 90th Birthday celebration at the Texas Troubadour Theater in Nashville and is also pictured with her family in this weeks edition of Country Weekly magazine.

Although bound to a wheelchair and in poor health for the last few years, her death was still unexpected.
