Name that classic country song – Today we are going to try something different with “Name that classic country song.” Our comments are open so you can leave a comment with your answer.

I’ve researched the words. I remember the song. I know who I thought the singer was, but can’t find it in the discography. Here are the clues:

I’ve got a big job of making the rounds
I’ve got a big job of telling all the ladies
My pretty Mama is coming to town

Please let our readers know who the singer is, the title of the song, and your reference. To get full credit as the first to correctly identify the song and the artist please give us your name, city, and the state you live in.

We looked through our music library as I tried to find out why I remember the song. We studied the MP3’s and looked through many of the albums. Perhaps it was on the “B” side of a 45 many years ago. My search turned up nothing at all.

The question was asked on Facebook as well.
