Hank Williams frontman Bill Lister hospitalized
Texas Country Music Pioneer Big Bill Lister has been transfered to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, and is currently in ICU with possible pneumonia.
Lister entered the Boerne, Texas, hospital on Monday, but was released on Tuesday. Lister’s condition continued to deteriorate and he was admitted back into the local hospital. His doctor decided to transfer him to Methodist Hospital on Wednesday where he is currently in ICU.
Lister, now 86, spent last week on Country Cruisin’ 2009, entertaining 310 guests along with Ferlin Husky, Jett Williams, Leona Williams, Amber Digby, Darrell & Mona McCall, Justin Trevino and Tony Booth.
He is most well known as Hank Williams’ frontman and the original artist on “There’s A Tear In My Beer.”
