I had the pleasure of speaking with Levi Coby today, a songwriter based in Scotland. In the office, and on Facebook, a bunch of us were just talking about traditional country music in other countries, so it was a perfect time to hear from this talented singer and songwriter.
Levi Coby is on Myspace and also on Reverb Nation, where this young man has over 17,000 fans.
His Myspace page has almost 110,000 views as we write this article.
When asked about his music and influences Levi Coby said:
I live in a little village in Scotland some people say god placed me in the wrong country. When I sing I sound like a Southerner. Well, that’s not a bad thing.
Music is a big part of my life. It is such a pleasure to write a new song and make some one laugh or have a happy tear. It’s awesome. I feel so lucky that people like music as much as I like making it.
I was brought up with Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves, George Strait, Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson. Then Tim McGraw came Keith Urban, Trace Adkins, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, etc. They were big influences on my music.
You see, country music is life that people from all walks of life can relate to.
The way music should be.
To feel it and love itI just want to thank all my fans and friends that keep me going and believe in me. God bless you all.
Levi Coby sent “Land Of God’s People” and “Where Are You Now”, both of which are great songs from a very talented man. “Cowboy & Ladies” is a wonderful song, straight from the heart. All of Levi’s music is superb.

Levi Coby is an awesome talent, both as a singer, and as a songwriter. Being a singer myself, after talking with him, he wrote two new songs for me. “Her Devil Smile” and “What I Left Behind”. These are both awesome songs, that I am in the process of recording as we speak. He also helped me to rewrite a very special song called “Where I Want To Be (My Special Angel) that was written for my fiancee.
This man is a special talent, who, if given the chance, will go a long way in the wonderful business we call MUSIC!!!

Levi Coby has a great voice! I told him I think he’s a cross between Alan Jackson & Randy Travis…and that’s a very good thing!!
While I am not in the music business, I do play some piano and enjoy GOOD music, and Levi’s songs/voice fill that capacity. I’m looking for great things to come in the future for this guy! (And I’m glad to traditional country music is everywhere! How awesome!!)

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Levi. A wonderful person to talk with. Levi has an outstanding talent for music. A true heart felt country poet. God bless you Levi, he has given you a great gift that most of us could only dream of.
Levi Coby has an amazing sound. His lyrics are original yet revolutionary. He belongs in Texas playin the honkytonks and bars. He is a great guy and always a pleasure to talk to. Thats always a plus when it comes to singer songwriters. Good Luck to him and his music. God Bless him
Levi is my Songwrighting / singing From Scottland. But his heart is in Texas.
I plan on recording some of his songs in the future Myself.

I think Levi is a very talented musician. He has an amazing voice.
How to sum up one man in a few words, (or maybe more than a few lol) a man with a heart and a golden touch, his pen hits paper and a pot of gold reveals, a story to be told to everyone across the world, in every song , he alwaz see’s the best out of his lyrics, plenty meaning ful words, his fans keep his faith alive and keep him going and one day we will see his name on billboards around the country, and more, good luck to him for the futrue and ill alwaz be right beside him for a shoulder if needed…………….ty to everyone for your support…………….. god bless levi xox
Levi is one talented person with his music but he is a good person deep inside for who he is …and above all he thanks God for what was given to him and you don’t see that much today. You can tell Levi writes from the heart and I hope he makes it big no matter were he is at. I can’t think of anything to add I did not tell you the 1st night you sent me songs listening from a dance judge point.I knew then, I had a lot of names who also had lots of contacts and feel with all my heart you are going to be big!! BELIEVE in you and God and you’ll be just fine.

The video has a few Gliches or blubs in it that was not in you song you sent me; so you ever made it maybe hit a button a few times they shouldn’t have; but just keep them coming. Like I said if you can get anywhere to book you (even a little honky tonk over there get some people in front of you singing.)
I don’t care if when when it is warm it you set up and play in the street on a corner like they do in Nashville looking for a break; just get people exposed face to face with you. Take care,God Bless and never foret where and what you stand for.
