Odd and weird
I wasn’t going to comment on Chely Wright, and in fact I did not know (or forgot) that she had a number one hit with “Single White Female” in 1999. When I read an article that stereotypes country music my silence ended. Wright recently told the world she is gay, as if anyone really cared, but it was important to Wright and many appreciate her honesty.

A North Carolina prosecutor says he still plans to prosecute six members of Texas guitarist and singer Willie Nelson’s band on drug and alcohol charges.
Friday, April 9, 2010 – Seventy year-old Billy Joe Shaver was found not guilty Friday in the shooting of a man outside a bar in Texas in 2007. A jury reached a verdict after two hours of deliberation in the case involving Shaver and the man he allegedly shot, Billy Coker.

I was researching Ray Benson when I thought of a unique instrument – the mando-guitar – and thought it would be nice to feature it in our educational section. It is not really a mondolin. Vox is the name that comes to mind when we speak of the mando-guitar, and sure enough there is a featured video of the instrument so you can see what it sounds like. We also found a good photo of the Vox, which is seen here. And here is the video of a mando-guitar:
I like the Rolling Stones and I like country music.. but… I also like steel guitar. I think it’s great that the Rolling Stones would do this song and Ronnie Wood plays steel guitar. The Rolling Stones give a tribute to Waylon Jennings and Mic Jagger does “Bob Wills Is Still The King” with a British accent. Tell me if this is cool, bizarre, really good, or just plain wrong:
