4/13/2010 – Windsor Missouri (TCC News) – Hank Williams was awarded a Pulitzer Prize citation. The Pulitzer board gave the singer the award for his lifetime achievement, based on a survey of experts in popular music.
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has announced it will pay tribute to the great Tammy Wynette with an exhibit titled Tammy Wynette: First Lady of Country Music. Presented by Great American Country (GAC) the exhibit will open in the Museum’s East Gallery on August 20, 2010, and run through June 2011.

The Alabama Music Hall of Fame Board has announced the selection of seven people to be inducted during the 13th Induction Banquet and Awards Show to be held in the Convention Center in Montgomery, Ala., Thursday, March 25, 2010.

Some of you know that Nancy and I are retired. Nancy served in the Army for 20 years. I served in the Marines from December 1968 through June of 1993. War has been part of civilization since Biblical days, a fact of life in civilized society, although many say war is not civilized at all.
NASHVILLE – The Country Music Association announced today that Jimmy Dean, Ferlin Husky, Billy Sherrill, and Don Williams will become the newest members of the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame.
In a previous article about Joe Paul Nichols I included a Youtube video by Joe titled “These Old Eyes Have Seen It All”. As I thought about it I was reminded of a Slim Dusty song from a different place, but a similar theme.
Another year has passed and Mr. Ray Price is another year older, just like the rest of us. His birthday is January 12th, and Ray will be 84 this year. Last year I talked to Ray and simply said happy birthday and Semper Fi, a term known to U.S. Marines everywhere as ‘Always Faithful’.
The Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame website is a great place to visit. The Hall Of Fame is located in St. Louis Missouri, on the opposite side of the state from our town of Windsor Missouri.
