Dothan Alabama Country Music District to rival Branson
At least 2000 new jobs have been created in Dothan Alabama thanks to a new country music district. According to Crystal Jarvis, writing for the Birmingham Business Journal, 2,000 jobs have been created in the South Alabama region with the opening of Country Crossing, a country music entertainment district located in Dothan Alabama.

Hawkshaw Hawkins was married to Jean Shepard. He was killed in a plane crash along with Patsy Cline and Cowboy Copas in 1963.
